Uses
Above product is a kind of main broad spectrum UVA chemical sunscreen it can absorb UVA of 320 400 nm band, can cut off some UVA-I, but for UVA-II the effect is weak, so it’s often used with Benzophenone-3.
It almost does not absorb visible light. As compared with other chemical sun screen it can absorb a considerable range of wavelengths of ultraviolet light, so is widely used in many broad spectrum sunscreen products. It has the advantages of high absorption rate, non toxic, non teratogenic, good stability to light and heat, especially suitable for light transparent products. Avobenzone is widely used in sunscreen creams, lotions and other cosmetics. It can also be used as an anti discoloration
agent for products that are discoloration due to photosensitivity. In addition, due to its compatibility with many plastics, it has a protective effect on PVC and unsaturated polyester. This product is a general chemical, with good storage and transportation stability. It is non flammable and non explosive, non toxic and harmless.
